Wendell Blueberry Farm
Just 20 minutes from Raleigh, NC, this family-run, pick‑your‑own farm covers roughly 25 acres with over 1,700 blueberry bushes spanning six different varieties.
These berries are top-quality. The fruit is ripe, sweet, and bursting with flavor. With natural growing practices and no sprays, they always taste fresh and vibrant. There is plenty of space to wander around, and the workers there will tell you where to find the best blueberries in the field.
You’ll grab a bucket, stroll the rows, and pick as you go for $10 a pound.
The farm even stays open late, so families can make it a calm after‑work or weekend outing - make sure you check their posted hours before going.
There are currently six varieties available. The different bushes ripen at slightly different times, so the season stretches from mid‑June through July. We visited on July 15th and were told there was about 1 - 1.5 weeks left for picking.
So next time you’re wondering how to spend a slow summer weekend, remember the blueberry bushes are waiting. Bring your people, grab a basket, and let Wendell Blueberry Farm remind you what summer’s supposed to taste like.
